Senior Project Engineer (Staff)
Responsible for managing the design, engineering and fabrication of Hydraulic Power Units, Chemical Injection Skids, Well Head Control Panels, Oil Purification Systems, Nitrogen Purge Units and Accumulator Racks with project values up to £1 million, duties as follows:
Supervised a range of projects from initial design phase through to completion and handover; management of all programme budgets, workload plans and delivery schedules.
Management of all communication and liaison with the client to ensure that they were kept appraised of any issues and that any technical queries from either side were resolved.
Involved in providing both engineering and practical advice to a number of R&D projects to overcome problems, develop solutions and ensure contracts were delivered on time.
Carried out a number of pre-sales meetings with prospective customers to make them aware of the company’s capabilities e.g. ABB, Bechtel and Halliburton.
Successfully developed and implemented an Excel based internal cost control and profit monitoring system which became the company wide standard for master cost reporting.
Seconded to work in-house for Aker Kvaerner on a range of oil & gas related projects; carrying out Project Engineering duties similar to the above, but based full time with the client.
