Project Support Engineer (Contract):

 

Working as an onshore project team member for the Petrojarl Banff FPSO. 

 

Primarily employed to support the Banff & Kyle Field subsea assets and control systems. 

 

Gained experience in some areas of Process Systems / Equipment and Marine Systems, namely: Compressor Dry Gas Seals (DGS), Submersible Turret Loading (STL) Systems, Mooring systems, Riser Inspection and Annulus Testing, Subsea Integrity Management Survey, Reconfiguration of Subsea Chemical Injection Lines.

 

My major project was that of replacing a Mooring Line for the FSO that supported the Banff FPSO.  The project needed constant schedule monitoring due to it needing to coincide with the FSO being filly loaded with crude, a scheduled dry dock service, DSV availability, delivery of materials and restricted timeframe due to the Banff FPSO limited storage capacity.  The UWS of the Mooring Line was successfully replaced.

 

I was also utilised as a Client Engineering / Technical Representative on numerous Dive Support Vessels (DSVs) in the Central North Sea (CNS).

 

Due to a reduction in the new year budget, the intended scope of work for the year had to be put on HOLD and there was therefor not enough work to keep me employed.
